Our Instructors & Staff Members

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Karate and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of Marti Martial Arts Academy's instructors and other staff members, starting with Jose Marti:

Jose Marti  (Director/ Sensei)  Sensei Marti began training in Kung Fu at the age of 7 years old back in 1975 - Later studied Tae Kwan do - In 1985 Began training in Shotokan Karate and Tae Kwan Do as well as Yamanni Ryu Weapons arts with the founder of Traditional Karate America Sensei Larrea. Sensei Marti has two instructor certifications one from Long Island University and one from the Larrea Training Center. Sensei Marti currently holds a Fourth Degree Black belt in Shotokan Karate and Tae Kwan Do from the Larrea Training Center and 2nd Degree black belt in Yamanni Ryu Weapons under Sensei Kiyoshi Nishime. Sensei Marti is also a student of Lama Kung Fu under the instruction of Sifu Stephen Innocenzi and a student of Kickboxing, Fu Jow Pai Kung Fu under the instruction of Sifu Paul Vizzio and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the instruction of Jojo Guarin and Tito Hartz. Sensei Marti has been teaching Martial Arts for close to 20 years.

Elizabeth Marti  (Senior Program Director) Elizabeth Marti has over 20 years of business experience consisting of event planning, marketing, and customer and public relations. She currently holds a red belt in Shotokan Karate. The inspiration behind the opening of their martial arts academy were her two children and to provide them with a better life. Her educational background consists of an Associates degree in Office Management and a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management.

Kimberlee Beers  (Program Manager/Instructor) Kimberlee Beers has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Tito Hartz Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Grappling Trainer.

Travis Winter  (Nidan /Instructor) Travis Winter has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Dylan Leitner  (Shodan/Instructor) Dylan Leitner has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Adrian Vasquez  (Shodan Ho / Instructor) Adrian Vasquez has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.
